Suzhou, a modern city in eastern China with a population of over 10 million people, has a well-developed transportation system with buses, taxis, railways, and high-speed trains.
Suzhou is adjacent to Shanghai. There are three airports around Suzhou City, including:
1. Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG), about 2-2.5 hours of driving;
2. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA), about 65 minutes of driving;
3. Sunan Shuofang International Airport (WUX), about 55 minutes of driving.
There are high-speed trains connecting the airports and Suzhou. Main routes include:
1. Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG): Board the “Meglev Train” at Maglev Pudong Airport Station for a 20-minute ride to Longyang Road Station. Change to Metro Line 2 for a one-hour ride straight to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station or take a 35-minute taxi directly to Shanghai Railway Station. Then take the hanghai-Suzhou high-speed train for a 35-minute train to Suzhou(苏州) Railway Station;
2. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA): Board the Shanghai-Suzhou high-speed train at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station for a 35-minute train ride to Suzhou Railway Station;
3. Sunan Shuofang International Airport (WUX): Board the Metro Line 3 at Sunan Shuofang International Airport Station for a 10-minute ride to Wuxixinqu Railway Station. Then take the Wuxi-Suzhou high-speed train for a 15-minute train ride to Suzhou Railway Station.
